CWU Legal Services and Employment Tribunals
The CWU is now regulated as a Claims Management Provider. This places additional obligations on us to ensure that at all times we deal with your claim in a timely and competent manner.
The Union has a comprehensive range of legal services and we would always encourage you to find out from us what help may be available. There are many outside companies looking for business but their number one concern is not you, it is to make a profit.
The Branch has its own legal services policy which provides useful information to help you better understand what help is available. Most queries we have are about accidents that happen either on or off duty.
However, the Union will also take on claims for alleged medical negligence, will assist you in claims for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit including appeals and ensure any accident you do have is logged and dealt with via your Employer’s compensation scheme.

If you have been injured either on or off duty and want to make a claim and or get yourself registered with the Royal Mail Group Accident Benefit Scheme, please contact us or click on the links below.
Please remember, that even if you do not wish to claim against anyone, if you have been injured on duty you are still covered by the Royal Mail Group Accident Benefit Scheme, but you only have 6 months from the date of the accident to register.
